BlackBerry co-CEO Step Down

BlackBerry maker Research in Motion’s co-CEOs, Jim Balsillie and Mike Lazaridis, are stepping down. RIM said Sunday the pair who founded RIM will be replaced by Thorsten Heins, a chief operating officer who joined RIM four years ago from Siemens AG. Balsillie and Lazaridis have headed Waterloo, Ontario-based RIM together for the past two decades. Source: USAToday

Twitter is spreading its wings further across Europe its over-worked CEO announced Sunday at the DLD Conference here. Jack Dorsey, who doubles up as the CEO of Square as well, said the company was looking to build a German team. Uri Savir says the Yala Young Leaders group will hold its interactive conference on Monday and Tuesday. U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton, actress Sharon Stone, Barcelona football coach Pep Guardiola, National Basketball Association Commissioner David Stern and others are set to address the virtual gathering. Apple starts selling interactive iPad textbooks

Apple Inc. on Thursday launched its attempt to make the iPad a replacement for a satchel full of textbooks by starting to sell electronic versions of a handful of standard high-school books.
